ERNST - HAPPEL ESTADIUM (It is the only "five star" in the EURO)

The biggest Austrian stadium is located 10 kilometres from the centre of Vienna and its' face washing 'has cost some 37 million euros. The seating capacity has been expanded and the bleachers can accommodate over 50,000 spectators.

In the Ernst Happel will play two matches of the quarter-finals, a semifinal and the grand finale, in addition to the three meetings of the Austrian selection in the group stage. The "interim capacity" of Austrian largest stadium, opened in 1931, will be 51,718 seats, having enabled several rows of seats for a total of 4,500 extra places at the bottom of the stairs to meet the demands of a Uefa minimum capacity of 50,000 people. In the stands are planned around 600 seats for the press, which will increase to 1,100 for the end of June 29.

Renewal of infrastructure

The VIPS room has been completely renovated and has a capacity for 900 people, obviously inadequate for the large number of sponsors, partners, Austrian and foreign authorities and others considered important in this event. On the occasion of the Euro, the metropolitan rail network in Vienna has been extended until near the stadium, much facilitating access for fans.
